>Because, Terry, that isn't what the courses are - they have no information
on whether or not you should buy the product, they detail exactly how to
achieve certain goals in the product.<
Ok, the detail of the implementations I wouldn't expect, but in broad terms
how about an explanation of what problem(s) it is that the product helps
you to solve. Just something to give us more of a handle on the relevancy
of a product to real world applications. That means why the product was
developed in the first place, its strengths and weaknesses, maybe where the
product concept came from, and where the boundaries of the product lie.
Perhaps a comparison with other technologies from Borland (e.g. When would
you use Entera middleware v Midas middleware based solutions? Are they
completely different, or does one represent a super/sub set of the other?
Who are these products relevant to?). I'm only talking about a couple of
hundred words per product...
>We may not always be able to answer your question on the spot, but we will
definatly try our damdest to get you the infomation you need.<
And very much appreciated it is too. And that's great with specifics like
how to get the IB ODBC ADO connection to talk to the Visual Data Broker
Object Repository interface. But some philosophical rambling about why
you'd recommend chosing certain products for certain tasks would be nice
too.
Cheers,
Terry
