I had this kind of a problem once (D4) - turned out that if I closed the IDE
with no project open it went away. It seemed to be caused by closing the IDE
with a large FindInFiles search open. In addition it complained about it's
pointers etc.

Subject: [DUG]: Running app from delphi locks everything up
Hiya, got a strange problem I wonder if anyone here could help me solve...
For some reason, early Friday afternoon, a problem came up where if I ran
my app from Delphi, the app and delphi would hang and I'd have to use
brute force and kill the task.
However, if I run the app from my computer, it runs fine and shows no
problems. From what I can see, 'something' is either getting into an
infinite loop and not letting the system processes do anything, or
something else is happening.
I just got "access violation at address 0944C6F2 in module
'bordbk50.dll'. Read of address 001DC000."
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be happening, or any hints as to
how I could attempt to find the problem?
Occasionally I can run up a certain point in the app and single step, and
it seems small functions and routines are taking 3-4 seconds to run, so
far I havn't been able to trace any particular point that it killing the
app, any pointers?
