Well multiply it by 12 million records and a 32bit key looks a lot more
attactive

So who are you calling Sonny? Wrote my first database on a 16k desktop
HP in something like Basic in 1980. (And then there was the finite element
modeller in Algol on the old Burroughs in 1978 before that...). I come over
and teach you but my walking stick is broke.
