Is it a TTable component that is trying to display the field?  If you have the fields specified for the table (by right clicking on the TTable component and displaying the fields editor) they may be different for what is actually in the field and will cause this error.  Either remove the fields in the fields list or specify the correct type.

Subject: [DUG]: Blob problems

Hi all.
I have been struggling with a problem under my D3 install, where I cant open a form (at run time) that uses a blob field in a database (interbase 5.5).
It come up and says that the "FIELD" is of an unexpected type.

I have now Unistalled Delphi 5 and Delphi3, as well as the BDE, and reinstalled D3 ONLY as well as a BDE update (it was an update to versioon 5 of the BDE ??) which was meant to fix problems with Blobs.
BUT, I still get the problem occuring.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what it might be ?

Thanks,
