[DUG]: COMM or LPT Ports

Someone can help me with a source that let me know bit-by-bit in a serial or paralell port, when i connect any device, like a step-motor ? What i need is to read a clock carrier and a data line (in and out ways) and know what type of data is currently being sending (receiving) in the data line (ones and zeroes !) in the high ou low signal of the clock carrier.   TIA   Joćo Alberto Licht Teixeira   [EMAIL PROTECTED]
