I misunderstood you from your previous post I thought you were considering
writing an OLE DB Driver
that connected to your 3rd tier not 'emulated' parts of your 3rd tier. But
the same basic problem arises
that report tools are relational where your 3rd tier is object
Re the expression metadata i'm about to embark down that track - I you come
across a good
SQL expression evaluator I'd be interested
By using Ansi SQL as the back end I only have to invent half the technology
