A current client whom I currently support is looking to redevelop their existing UNIX
based application in Windows. It was a project I was undertaking using delphi and
Interbase, but I cannot fulfil this anymore. My client is considering still having
this custom development done. Ideally it would be by a software development company
who could offer ongoing & indefinite support and hence some future stability.
My client is a large health services provider in the Waikato reigon with approx 8
branches and a large head office. The intended development was to be a client/server
app running on terminal server (originally using metaframe) giving access to the
braches over a relatively low bandwdith dedicated WAN. The WAN is currently in place
and in use with their UNIX system. This is administered by Telecom and would not
require support.
The ability to provide UNIX support for their current system is not essential but
would attract fixed monthly revenue if you could provide this too. The future support
would be funded as a fixed recurring monthly fee. There is also the potential to
supply new hardware and operating system software to superced their UNIX system.
