Depends entirely on what you are trying to do.  The application, the number
of entries, etc.  UNless you actually need the variant type ability, I would
keep clear of them.

  I've read in the Delphi Help, that operations on variant types are slower

  slow so as to use TList or any other container class, instead of a variant
