I am currently developing a system to transmit business documents such as
Invoices, Order, Statements etc, via email between businesses.
You may be aware of www.BizTalk.Org, organized my Microsoft, and
several other organization developing standards and XML schemas, such as
www.basda.org, www.ebxml.org, and www.ebis-xml.org
You may also be aware that the RSA public key algorithm is now out from
under patent restrictions.
As a result I have decided to develop a Open Source API that can be
incorporated in Accounting Systems to support transfer of standard documents
in a secure way. By Open Source I means everyone will be free to use it,
modify it, and distribute it.
The API will be available for VB, C, Java, and Delphi. I will also be
developing a Client Application in Delphi to use the API. All the Delphi
source code will be totally open source.

The site www.devcentre.org has in depth detail about what we intend to
achieve in the project. It is a very ambitious project that will have
potentially huge rewards for New Zealand Accounting System Developers.
However, I without the involvement of developers we won't be able to get
this to happen,
