Okay people, looking for someone who wants something a bit different. Well
suited to scientist/maths/geogr turned programmer.
C/C++ windows and preferably unix is a must but we are also a Delphi
house and this is my preference when C++ is not otherwise predicated.

Applications Programmer
This position is for an applications programmer to work in the Hydrocarbons
Section of the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences in Lower Hutt
providing support to a team of scientists working primarily in petroleum
geology and geophysics. The position will involve both research and
consultancy work.
The position requires someone who can provide programming and other
computer support to research projects, especially in the areas of
· Migration of algorithms from workstations to PC platforms
· Developing GUIs for GNS applications
· Developing new programmes to meet scientific requirements,
especially in the areas of data visualisation
· Increasing the efficiency of programmes for data processing and
analysis
