Hi there,
I have a problem with my Delphi 5 enterprise edition (Update Pk1). It seems
like a small problem but it is very frustrating at times.
I recently upgraded to Win2K with Service pack 1. Previous to this,
everything worked
fine (Win98). I have uninstalled and re-installed delphi twice, since then.
The problem is that when I drop a DataAccess component, such as a TTable,
TQuery or TStoredProc on a form, and attempt to set the DatabaseName
Property, I get a "Could not find Object" error dialog.
I have no other programs running, no Dbases open, etc. I even disabled my
virus scan!
I can access the property at run time, and (with TTable) put a string in the
TableName Property successfully, but I would like to use the DatabaseName
Property sometimes, so if anyone has an idea as to why this might be
happening, I would like to hear it.
Thanks,
Michael Pelly
