The only time I had something similar is when I had nested popups. In the
first popup I opened a form but the context menu of the form refused to work
because the previous menu was deemed to be still active.

Subject: [DUG]: PopUp menus and NT
Dear All
I'm having a frustrating problem with popup menus in Delphi 5. No doubt it
is something simple or obvious that I'm doing wrong, but I'm not above being
told that!
The program uses a single popup menu, that's set to be activated from either
right clicking a combobox or left clicking a button. The program is compiled
and runs a treat within and without the IDE on my machine, which is using
Windows 2000. However.... the popup menu will not appear at all when the
program is run on Windows NT 4.0 machines.
Ideas please!
Many thanks
Jeff Reid
