I don't remember exactly how this worked in D3 - but look
around in
menus for a place to configure your
"library path".
The directory where these missing library files reside (it's
the DCU
files that really matter) should be included on this library
path.
Delphi will go looking there to resolve references to the
library
components.
If i remember correctly, it will be a dropdown list, and the
other
items in the list will be the "history" of the path - so you
should
see it was set before you clobbered it.
good luck

Subject: [DUG]: I've broken it
Hi all
Help please.
Whilst attempting to add another component
to D3, alas without all the instructions I probably should have had, I have
broken the connection to delphi.pas. Subsequently got error - ( 'File not
found: 'System.pas' ) when attempting to compile.
I know where the file "delphi.pas" resides
but in terms of adding it back in as a component I dont know where to start or
If indeed I should try at all. I obviously need to know what the associated
Package filename and description for this should be.
Any help in getting it back together or other
recommendations (re-install?) would be warmly welcomed.
If I do re-install D3 will I lose all the other
added components I have (had) at the moment or is there something I can do to
make sure I don't.
"Bugger"
TIA
Colin
