I have had this problem in the past. A different printer driver solved it.

Hiya, I have some code here that's printing to a printers canvas to produce
a report, but for some reason, on a particular users installation, the
reports never print. They go into the print queue then dissapear. The
site is using HP Laserjet 4050 (these however run off a 4000 printer
driver) & HP Laserjet
4/4+/4M.
Anyone have any idea what could cause the print job to just vanish, and how
one might trace where its going and how to fix it?
