Almost - I was hasty - on my way of the door to work...
I should have pointed out that:

are all good hoax information sites
I might also mention that any virus notification that contains phrases like
"as the most destructive ever!"
"thus permanently destroying the hard disk"
"Please pass on this mail to all your friends"
are all good indicators it's likely a hoax...
Also Intel doesn't accounce viruses...
