Subject: [DUG]: d5 and win2k
I can't prove this (yet) but something I see on a customer
site suggests it may be happening.
Can anyone confirm/deny the following:
that if you install D5 on top of Win/2000 you get lots of
VCL .pas and .dcu files with timestamps like 24/1/2000 8:01?
The reason this might be an issue is that if you THEN
install the Update 1 (to ver 5.01) on top of this these
8:01 timestamped files won't get updated (because the
incoming files are stamped 24/1/2000 5:01)
Does anyone recognise this? It doesn't happen with NT or
Win98 - I but I suspect it may have something to do with
2K (but I can't try it).
Does anyone have a 2K machine they can look at where they
installed D5? (i.e. didn't install to NT and then upgrade)?
Do you have 8:01 timestamps or are they all 11/8/1999 5:00?
If this is really happening the effect is to cancel the
Update1 patches.
TIA
