Colin     How can I find the respondent's personal address in order to thank them for help?    I'm sure it's not a subject for the general list but often it's not possible to be courteous.   if the respondent omitted their address in the message signature (as you did) you can always look at the email headers.    The "From" header (even on a mailing list post) will show the posters address.   For example - the header in your post looks like   From: "Colin R Dillicar" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>   (Determining my email address is left as an exercise - but no need to thank me personally ;-) )   -ns
