Yes this also annoys me as well. Anyone heard if this is in D6.
I put it up as a request in the newsgroups. It would be nice if you
could have Configurations for Delphi.
<Default>
Configuration X
Configuration Y
and be able to select them either at startup or via a command line
parameter.
A workaround at the moment which I use is to launch two copies of
delphi and then modify the loaded packages. Being careful which
version of delphi I save last depending on how I want it to launch
again... I have just the one version of delphi installed.
Not really an ideal solution. Wouldn't be hard to implement either.
Have a default registry key and then additional ones for each config.
If a key is present in the config one, just read from the default (so there
isn't bloat in the registry). How hard would that be to implement...
