I've used ADO and generally found it fat and a pain in the ass, ADOexpress
makes it
palatable but as usual borland have to play catchup

I'm currently working on a combination of mODBC and  Kim Bo Madsen's
kbmMemTable
(its sort of freeware TClientDataSet or ADO Client Dataset)
