Hi Joao,

I've played with the TAnimation control myself a little (no expert on it
though). The TAnimation control doesn't support compressed AVI files and
returns the file can not be opened if it is compressed.

If your destination platform is going to be Win 2000 (maybe win 98) then you
could look at using the Media Player active X interface to play compressed
AVI.

Subject: [DUG]: AVI files

Hi all,

I want to play an AVI file with MediaPlayer, but the file must be showed in
the center of screen and, after it's execution, must be closed and the
control return to Delphi.
I've been tryed with TAnimation, but it says the file can't be opened.

PS.: The avi file was tested and it's OK.

TIA

Joao Alberto
