Synopsis

The Component Creation course covers the subject of creating components in Delphi in
great depth. In particular it covers pre-requisite and surrounding technologies. The
course starts with Advanced Object Oriented Programming which covers class creation
and includes the foundations of component creation. It progresses to Packages in which
components are stored. Windows Messages are covered as they hold the answers to many
common programming problems both in component creation and not in component creation.
The Component Creation module itself is the largest module and sits on the foundations
of the previous modules. The course ends with the creation of Property Editors and
Component Editors.
