Component writing is a very pure OO process and unless there
have been language enhancements, I don't believe the process can
change much. That's probably the reason why Ray didn't write
another book after this spectacular DCD3C. There have been new
classes in the VCL which could help you create new (better)
component. However, that wouldn't change the way one writes
components.

Scan the VCL. It's the BEST reference you can get. Of course,
there are plethora of websites dedicated to component writing,
there are newsgroups and mail list servers.
