It's been useful to know the precise effects of "turning on and off" the various properties of the various bands and groups..  Pity QuSoft are not as forthcomming in their documentation - at least that which is available packaged with Delphi.

If you want to disable printing of the stuff in the bands, set the property
Enabled := False
Well that's an odd property to use to just disable printing

i agree.   in fact it seemed exactly backwards to me that supressing printing
in the BeforePrint event turns off aggregate processing (like totals) while
disabling the whole band suppresses printing but continues other processing.

But I think the idea is that you use BeforePrint to do clever filtering of
detail lines (hence not printing them excludes them from totals) but you
disable the bands entirely to do something like "supress detail" from a
report (i.e. print totals only).
