Ads at the top of messages was done before Y! by egroups and only lasted a
few weeks. I have run a list on Y! for two years with 150 members. Firstly
onelist then egroups and now Y!  Service quality is not IMO significantly
different from this current service which for some reason misses posts every
so often or resends them randomly.

This is not necessarily a plug for Y! just a suggestion of ways of achieving
things.

Comment about spam: it is possible in ANY list anywhere, including this, for
someone to sign on as a member and then collect e-mail addresses as each
message comes in. Perhaps this is how they spam you.
