Disclaimer: I don't have access to Kylix.
You need to use the CLX library in delphi 6. No I wouldn't think that
Kylix has any Win32 components at all.
However I am sure there are equivalents in the CLX libraries for this type
of functionality. All CLX units are
prefaced with a Q. Don't use any WINAPI functions.
I am sure others will be able to offer specifics.
