Hi Steve,
Depending on the amount of data you need to export into Excel you could use
different methods ( you could go cell by cell or you could make use of
Excel's methods that import text directly into Excel).
I've spent many more hours on tearing my hair too before I got it going. One
way to do it is to record macros in Excel and then look at their code in VBA
and try to make sense of it. Can use a VB help as well.
Anyway, I have a unit that exports text files in Excel. It doesn't have much
of a documentation, but it has all you need to work with Excel. Drop me a
line if you want it.
