Hi Guys,
I found the problem! It turns out they downloaded the files with CVS onto a
Unix box, and then moved them to a Windows Box. This meant that all the
instead of 'windows' formatted text files, all the files were Unix
formatted. CVS stores text files as diffs - and the way the files are put
onto target machines appears to depend on the format of the receiver - not
the original format.
Anyways, we now have CVS working on the Windows Box, and all is well -
Thanks for the ideas by the way - it lead me to investergating the file
format in more detail, which showed up this problem,
