Don't overlook IBObjects -- www.ibobjects.com -- very capable, rich
feature set, and direct connections to IB like IBX only (on average)
better performance, fewer bugs and better support.

Excellent. There have been some nuisance deltas in IBObjects in
the past (especially adding IB6 support requirements a year ago),
but has been very stable from a development-interface viewpoint for
a long time now. RUNS stably, without a doubt.

Superb, winner all the way.
> Functionality (data access and data administration)
Very high, tho IBO is a data access layer (with some GUI
componentry on top if you want it rather than being specifically
data admin oriented. Nonetheless the very capable demo
IB_WISQL app is a good example of the latter).
> Deployment
Very easy indeed (like IBX) as no extra "layers" to consider. Unlike
IBX (as I understand it), one set of components will do for both IB5
and IB6, no separate builds.
