I had pretty much come to this grim conclusion but wanted to be
sure I wasn't missing some clever way out.

Hmmm really.    I'd be interested in hearing more about this effort if
it wouldn't be a lot of trouble.

Why BCB instead of Delphi?    Especially now that Kylix has arrived -
or are you mostly C++ programmers?
