Further to this I found this snippet in a search on Google groups:
"The most important thing is to be aware that only in D4 can a new package
be dropped in without having to compile the host application. In D3 there
is some kind of version checking when the package is loaded, that has
been dropped in D4. According to Marco Cantù in his "Mastering Delphi 4"
book, it is not certain whether this is by design or not. It is a
technique that I am interested in myself, so I would be interested in
anyone else's comments. The immediate concern is whether the technique
will continue to work in D5."
Could this have an impact on my D3/D5 code?
