Yes, we have written lots of new field types, in fact we have replaced the
entire default set of Delphi fields types with our own versions that do all
the extra validation, event firing and extra processing that we wanted.
Works like a charm. Plus we have a bunch more derived field types that
provide extra RAD capabilties that Delphi (in its raw state) is sadly
missing.
Did you just want to know it was possible, or was there some other reason
for asking?
