Yeah.
I can do that, but if a socket server is closed it saves its list of ports, and
then when one starts again it uses tha saved list.
So I
can start Socket Server D4 and change it to run on 212.
And
then start Socket Server D6 (or D4) and it start on port
211.
Now
Quit the first one.
Now
Quit the second one.
Start
a new one and it will be port 211, no matter what version you
tried.
This
is happening in a Citrix/Terminal services environment where clients and servers
are on one machine.
If I
use the DCom connection I get a new instance of the App Server rather than the
RDM on the App sever.
I have
talked to Richard Vowels and he is supposed to be finding out how this was
solved at another site.
