Yeah. I can do that, but if a socket server is closed it saves its list of ports, and then when one starts again it uses tha saved list.

So I can start Socket Server D4 and change it to run on 212.
And then start Socket Server D6 (or D4) and it start on port 211.
Now Quit the first one.
Now Quit the second one.
Start a new one and it will be port 211, no matter what version you tried.

This is happening in a Citrix/Terminal services environment where clients and servers are on one machine.
If I use the DCom connection I get a new instance of the App Server rather than the RDM on the App sever.

I have talked to Richard Vowels and he is supposed to be finding out how this was solved at another site.

If you look at each socket servers properties, you can change the port. Right click on the servers icon in the system tray from memory?!?

Subject: [DUG]: Multiple Socket Servers

How do I run multiple socket servers with different ports?

The D4 and D6 socket servers seem to use the same list of ports.

I assume I need a command line parameter but I can't fins the info anywhere.
