That was a no go, since it seems that they removed TIdConnectionInterceptOpenSSL from the distribution pack (or at least I couldn't find it). Adding this component from older version proved to be too much of a hassle and not worthy the purpose. And since the new version had the same function call (that caused me problems in the first place) commented out, I just changed back to the older Indy. Thank you for the input.
