Google is a wonderful thing... ;-)

Typing in the following string, "delphi application started by automation",
brought up plenty of matches, of which the first thread mentioned the
following:

"The TComServer class in ComServ borland COM library has a property
StartMode
to check the start mode type which consists of the following values:
TStartMode = (smStandalone, smAutomation, smRegServer, smUnregServer);"

Hope this helps...

Subject: [DUG]: Detecting if app was started by automation client

Hi all

The subject line says it all - anyone know a definitive way of determining
that an app was started by an automation client ?

I've determined that a parameter string is present of '-embedded' but I'm
not sure if this is the right piece of info to use.

TIA
