HI All. I came across an interesting wee tool the other day that those of you, inclusing me, who write and sell components should be aware of..if your not already. There is a wee DCU you can get for Delphi 5,6, and 7 called FakeDelphix (x being the version). If you put in your code to look for the Delphi IDE and if its not there display a ShareWare message, this wee DCU will do something that lets it think that the IDE is still running, so your wee shareware message wont appear. The way I found to fix it, is to display a shareware message when the component is being destroyed (or just before).
How it helps someone else.
