Yeah well I should say I also ditched Xtra too. Even got some $$ back from them for their crap service. :-)

They may not like it, but when your paying for 5000mb, you can use it any way you like under the consumer act. You dont sell an icecream and then tell the customer they can't lick it. I'll definately have a look at the zone, although I have not had any problems with deerfield, only xtra -----Original Message----- From: Jeremy Coulter [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, 11 December 2002 9:36 a.m. To: Multiple recipients of list delphi Subject: RE: [DUG]: Terminal Services We ditched DeerFields one, which we found totally unreliable, not withstanding the $30....for www.zonedit.com which gives you 5 free "Zones" and lets you alter all the DNS records, like. I have www.vss.co.nz webmail.vss.co.nz f1.vss.co.nz plus some others. Like DeerFields one, you need a tool to tell it where you are (your IP etc.) and I have a free tool if you want to try it. Only thing to remember, Xtra don't like you running webservers of any kind on your ADSL connections, but Paraise has no such issues. I use it to log in to my work machine using XP Remote Desktop (TS) from anywhere on the web. -----Original Message----- From: Robert Martin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, 11 December 2002 9:16 a.m. To: Multiple recipients of list delphi Subject: [DUG]: Terminal Services Hi All Not really a Delphi question but I note that there are some people with TS experience on the list so here goes. We are testing our application on TS for a client, we have it all running on our network here and want to trail it over jetstream and modem. Do we need a fixed IP address for the TS machine? If so how do we set this up, what's the best way (remember this is only a short term test).
