Hi there,
Just wondered if I'm alone with this nuts-making thing. Having
recently upgraded to D7, I've noticed that my favourite keyboard
hotkeys in the IDE are no longer working. That is, they *work*, but
damnably slowly.

For example, I often do something like Alt+F, O to open a file. Works
fine in every earlier Delphi version, but in D7 it':

"Alt+F? Oh gosh, golly, I guess I'd better get around to opening that
file menu soon, hmmm, is it lunchtime yet?, no?, ok, let's open that
menu NOW. Oh dear, had you typed another key already? Sorry, must
have missed it..."

That is, the menus take FOREVER to open, and the next key seems to be
swallowed on some occasions.

Since this is on a new (way faster!) machine also, I checked a few
other programs I commonly use -- D7's menus are definitely half a
second or so slower than any of them. And they are less inclined to
swallow the extra keystroke...

Tried mucking with the Code Insight delay, just in case that was
related in some odd way -- wasn't. What on EARTH have they done in
this version???

cheers,
peter
