I'm writing an assessment project for the students here that requires a simple
master-detail report. I've spent most of today trying to make sense of the RAVE
report components that come with D7 - previously we've used QuickReports but they seem
to have disappeared.
Can anyone who's managed to suss out RAVE reports tell me if they're a waste of time
or not, because I'm beginning to think they are.
The master-detail wizard refuses to recognise that two DataViews are in the report
project and won't execute. When creating the bands manually, it appears that it is
only possible to create the master/detail link on a single field - I could work around
that possibly but it seems to be making things unnecessarily complex for the students.
If they are worth persevering with - where can I find instructions for using them? I
downloaded the reference manual and developers guide PDFs from their website but
they're not very helpful. Otherwise, can anyone recommend a cheap (or free) D7 report
component suite?
