Hi all,
Could anyone used web service point me the limitations of web service
architecture?
The place I'm working on is having discussion of using web service as the
standard middle tier within 3-tier or client/server applications. I
personally don't think it make sense to use web service as middle tier in a
traditionally typical client/server application. It does make some sense to
make it 3-tier, but I would think of other technologies instead of Web
Services.
Also I remember that someone mentioned the web service is pretty slow, but I
can find original message. Could anyone confirm this?
Note that I'm talking about internal client/server applications, not web
applications which can easily tolerate slow response of sub-10sec. Also
it's very likely client software will be written in Delphi.
TIA
Edward Huang
