I agree with Stefan. I have a D7 app. That uses DWS as the core of a main process to normalize data from different places. What I like avout it is I can pass in a record strucure and pass it back. Its ideal for me. BUT writing new controls etc. for it are a nightmare. We recently tried one of the other free pascal scripting controls but it just didn’t quite stack up, and we too chode paxCompiler using paxPAscal and its easy to add new controls too, and really is a greate scripting tool. I have nto foun anything I cant do yet. We will replace DWS with paxPAscal when we move to D2K7 in a few months.

Latest release of DWS is from 2003 ... 4 years old ... are you sure you want to use such an old component? If you are after a good scripting engine then go for paxcompiler (www.paxcompiler.com). The latest 1.5 version now supports even debugging of scripts. PaxCompiler is hands down the best scripting engine available for Delphi (stability/speed/compatibility ... and excellent support). Is anyone using the DWS scripting components (http://sourceforge.net/projects/dws/) with D2007 ? There appears to be some changes to the SynEdit components that are incompatible .
