Real Estate is crazy over the pond as well. In April last year I
finally bit the bullet and bought a house. Last week I went to an
auction for a unit up the street. The unit was on land under 1/3 the
size of my block (I could put 3 of them on my block) and it sold for
15K more than what I bought my house for.

I couldn't believe people were bidding that high. Can't wait until I
finish the renovations (added a 3 storey extension [STCA] - hilly
block!). The only problem with real estate is that once you sell, you
then have to buy something else...
