Bob,

Its partly because the new code is a pig. Whereas the old versions used to use the path of the project file as a fulcrum, D2007 does not.

The second issue is that it wants of the paths to the files in multiple places. In 2007 I finally gave in and moved all the 3rd party bpls in one folder. Yet the stupid cretin wants paths to the dcu files of each library in each project's options.

The third issue is that it needs some of the paths to the libraries in the windows environment variable. However this does not have an infinite length, something that Borland/Codegear have not yet figured out. Every version merrily adds its paths to it (thats 11 versions so far). You may need to prune some entries from this..

I have scores of other issues as well. If I did not have so much invested in it (25 years of using Borland products), I would gladly jump to the devil and start with Visual Studio.

Regards

I opened Delphi and compiled an application to ensure it was working.

It compiled.

I then closed Delphi and a few minutes later reopened it only to find a multitude of errors.

Most of the errors are "Cannot resolve unit name...." and "TForm* does not contain a member named refresh" ...
... ad nauseum.

Can anyone tell me what is going on??

Bob
