hahaha yeah well..... Ok, I took a alook, and yes you are right there is a gradient option there.....hence I DID miss something :-) BTW this is Delpho 2007. I also managed to find your code on CC...eventually. the link on the page points to a cc.borland.com not embarcedero.
I jsut tried the gradient stuff on the standard toolbar in D2007.....and its UUUGGLLYYY..... :-) oh well.
