People have be worried about the demise of Delphi for the last 4-5 years, but it hasn't happened yet (and probably not for awhile). I think a better question is: Is what codegear doing now going to grow their business? Certainly it sounds like there are going to be some interesting announcements shortly.
I think learning other languages is a very good idea - something I'm going to put more effort into when I have some spare time - not that I'm likely to have much of that for awhile. My partner and I have been on a bit of a buying spree, we're settling on one property today and possibly 3 others shortly (we just need to get builders reports and arrange finance).
