Thanks for the feedback everyone,

Re: Webcam for the presenters, to be honest I hadn't really thought of that,
but I'm open to giving it a try. When we have American speakers, they tend to
do it from their homes in the evening, so we may need to enforce a dress code
and/or a "put the beer out of sight of the camera" code.

Re: All Access, basically it's aimed at those who use more than one product.
It's only really then that the economics start to make any sense. After you've
looked at the other products, if all you need is Delphi, just buy Delphi. We're
very happy to still sell Delphi on its own.

Re: everyone pushing All Access, yes, that was one of the things I was talking
about when I said we needed to tighten up a few things. We'll probably always
highlight it, but the aim of these is meant to be mainly education, with a side
order of sales pitch, not the other way around.

Re: bugs, yep, I think it's reasonably well acknowledged we went through a bad
patch for awhile regarding quality. Most feedback I've got is that D2009 is
back near where it needs to be, especially with the updates (Update 3 and 4
came out yesterday, BTW. http://edn.embarcadero.com/article/39390) That said,
the trial tends to lag behind the patches, so it's not ideal, I know.

A big focus of Weaver (code name for the next version) is bug fixing. For
example, I saw a note a few days back that the compiler team have fixed ALL of
their backlog of bugs, and were looking for new reports. So while it won't be a
release with ONLY bug fixes, it's the lead item.

I'll also extend the same invitation to you guys as I have to the ADUG list. If
you've got issues that are not addressed in the updates we've shipped, feel
free to send me (or Richard) the QC numbers and I'll annoy the team to address
them. I can't promise anything, but I can be reasonably annoying, and even if
they don't make an official update, we have the ability to do hot fixes, so I'm
happy to throw some weight behind them.

Re: iphone/ipod Touch, yes, you and me both. Not first release, which will just
be MacOSX and Linux (at this stage, usual disclaimers about stuff changing,
etc, etc) but it's definitely in our sights.

OK, think I hit all the main points. I try not to be very vocal on user group
lists, I tend to just lurk (hmmm, that doesn't sound so good). Having a company
person weigh in on every second point is not always the best way to encourage
discussion. However I poke my head into most of the user group lists in the
region most days (the English language ones anyway), and I'll try to respond to
the comments that look like they are hoping for a response.

Cheers
Malcolm
