I did notice that when installed on Vista D2007 looks nicer than on XP - for instance the tool palette gets different pastel colours for the individual sections - and they are gradient colours too.
John I guess there was a reason they decided against using the gradients on the toolbars. VS 2010 probably doesn't have them.
