Pretty sure it's the IDE. I had the same issue this morning after leaving D2009 open over the weekend. It told me all the open units had changed on disk, and did I wish to reload each individual one. I wasn't too concerned, since I have it set to Save on Run, and I Save All regularly anyway, so I was pretty sure I wasn't going to lose any changes...
