Hi Colin,

I saw some demo on internet to say code written in java running some android
default virtual machine around 10 times slower than native c code. Dot net
version is in between c and java. I guess the problem is not java, but that
java virtual machine running in android.

Have a nice day

Regards
Leigh

I guess that's the way things are going now.

If you want to develop of Windows Mobile 7 then you need to do it with
Silverlight.
If you want to develop for Android or WebOS then get yourself up on Java.
If you want to develop for the iPhone/iPad then start learning Objective-C.

I imagine that will be a very big _ouch_ for some people...

I have done a bit of playing with the Android API... not that hard really...
though I had a small amount of java and Eclipse experience already.

Hi,

You might be able to do something with Monotouch and Prism (for iPhone)
- but I haven't investigated this as a possibility.

You can develop iPhone apps with Monotouch with the current iPhone SDK.
Unfortunately, with the advent of the new iPhone 4.0 SDK, the rules have been
changed (by Apple) so only apps (originally) developed in C, Objective C or C++
will be accepted by the App Store.

Cheers,
Colin
