Hi Tood Looking on the freepascal site, here is a bug report (dated today no less) about some bugs in the freepascal assembler that are using intel syntax on x86_64.
http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=14862 So it would appear that it's definitely possible but possibly only in the latest builds or with a different switch to enable it?
