AIUI the current policy is that only the immediate preceding version + 2 prior 
versions qualify for upgrade pricing.  Embarcadero would apparently rather that 
users of older versions take their business elsewhere.

 

On that basis D2007 will remain a qualifying upgrade version until XE2 is 
released and then I presume there will be a grace period offered, just as we 
are currently in the grace period for 2006 > XE upgrades (until 31 Dec 2010).

 

That is unless Embarcadero tighten the upgrade qualification window even 
further.

Everyone who doesn't have a 2010 version of the product (Delphi/C++/RAD 
Studio), if you are on 2009, 2007 or 2006 upgrade-wise or earlier (who have to 
purchase new now).
